Alkagesta said it took part in the II Annual Central Asia Oil & Gas Forum in Tashkent on 15–16 October 2026, with CIS Regional Trader Javid Guliyev representing the company. In its account of the event, the company identified Central Asia as strategically important to its regional operations, linking its participation to its existing activity across CIS markets.
According to Alkagesta, the forum gathered energy industry executives, policymakers and investors to discuss changes affecting Central Asian energy markets. Its description highlighted logistics, regulation and the region’s role in global energy security as central areas of discussion. The two-day programme focused on strengthening cooperation between regional energy markets and improving supply chains, alongside questions about how production and infrastructure can support those objectives.
The agenda included regional oil and gas reserves, production strategies, cross-border trading routes and logistics infrastructure, Alkagesta reported. Refining capacity and access to markets were also covered. These subjects placed the movement and processing of physical commodities alongside upstream supply questions within the programme, rather than limiting discussions to reserves and output. The company presented shifting trade corridors as part of the backdrop to the event.
Investment, risk management and the development of public-private partnerships across Central Asia were further programme themes, according to the announcement. Alkagesta described the forum as an opportunity for dialogue on the region’s development as its position in global supply chains evolves. Its account did not disclose any financing commitments, infrastructure agreements or trading contracts arising from the meeting.
Alkagesta said its petroleum-products trading platform spans approximately 48 countries, a company-reported measure of its broader reach. The announcement positioned attendance in Tashkent within that existing trading footprint and its CIS presence; it did not set out a new market-entry plan or an expansion of regional operations.
